About

A studio for horror that lasts.

Third Door Films was built to make horror feature films the way the best ones get made with rigor up front, discipline on set, and a real plan for the life a film has after it's finished.

Why we exist

Development to distribution, under one roof.

Most horror gets handed off two or three times between the idea and the audience. Each handoff costs intention. We built a single company that owns every stage so the film that ships is the film that was promised.

That doesn't mean we do everything alone. We collaborate constantly with writers, directors, financiers, sales agents, and distributors. It means the chain of accountability never breaks on our watch.

Values

Four things we don't negotiate.

Style changes with the project. These don't.

01

Craft

Every frame, every cue, every cut earns its place.

02

Clarity

Plain language. Real numbers. No surprises in act three.

03

Accountability

If we said we'd own it, we own it — including when it's hard.

04

Collaboration

The best version of the work is everyone's. We protect it.

Based in horror

The genre is the point.

Horror is the most demanding genre and the most forgiving market. It rewards craft, punishes shortcuts, and pays attention for decades. We work in horror because the audience is real, the stakes are clear, and the tradition is worth honoring.

We don't chase trends. We build slates projects that hold up on first viewing and reward the second one.

Team

The people who answer the phone.

A small senior team, expanded by trusted department heads for each project.
